Blood Hunter
Although the Hunters were members of the Beast Horde
in its war against the humans, they always preferred the
darkness to the light, and were won over to the Hellbourne
with the promise of human blood. They are led by the traitor
Blood Hunter, a swift and deadly warrior who feeds on the
blood of his enemies and heals with horrifying speed.

For Feast isn’t it more like 10/15/20/25 of a non-hero’s heath?
Thanks Phrozen, it has now been corrected to the right values.
Bloodseeker ftw!
this bloodseeker rulez
Hes so fucking strong in sololane middle!!!
One of my alltime favourites
Blood sense no longer will allow invisible heroes to get attacked…even with attack-move. That applies to both blood hunter and allies.
Additionally…shouldn’t he be given some sight of visible low-hp hero to better improve his chasing?
With too many imba heroes like The Madman, they stupidly nerfed bloodseeker! What the hell?
You can’t attack nor see invisible enemies and you can’t sense dying heroes over the map, only NEARBY heroes! NEARBY? Oh please, they just KILLED bloodseeker, now the most useless hero ever. (Only good if you life to be a “Do-Nothing-Frag-Stealer”)
I do agree with Locke… but I wouldn’t say he’s useless. His ulti is pretty sweet, and if they would allow him to see invisibles, I’d consider getting good with him.
yeah i’ve never seen him come close to carrying unlike most other agi heroes like madman arach and nh
Lol, can’t come up with someone original, so they had to copy Bloodseeker, almost stat-for-stat?
Bloodhunter if fine. Awesome Scout counterpick. Awesome hunter. Not a bad carry. Phenomonal ganker.
Courier and Dust. ‘Nuff said.
Bloodseeker!!
@vaelvictus
i hope that everyone here realizes he sees invis heros. AS long as they are below 40%, he can see invis heros and attack them even tho it seems like your swiping at the air :T
@theowne
not true. he cannot atk invis heroes, however rush mock of brilliance (radiance) and even night hound cant run forever.
@Charging_in
Confirmed. He cant see nor attack invis heroes while they are near death.
well wow, another fuck-up by S2 games. All these little things they overlook from dota is starting to piss me off.
Bloodhunter is awesome, if you go mock of brilliance after you get boots and rings, then you can almost certainly be a really good carry if you use your silence right. If you after that get wingbow, then you are OP.
can’t he see them on the minimap?
it used to be that you couldnt see them on the minimap at all, so at least they are making progress.
Piss you off theowne? you probably didn’t even buy the damn game in the first place. HoN is not fully DoTA, its roots are all DoTA and most of its heroes but it aims to slowly move away from that. Wanting everything to be like dota is just… well.. pure fail.
Sure, it can be whatever it wants, as long as it actually improves from dota, not worse. All i’m saying is blood sense needs to be able to allow him to attack invis heroes or else its just crap.
Oh btw viralRAzor, how the hell do you buy a game when its not even out? If you have ever played bloodseeker, you’d understand what i was talking about but obviously you have no idea whats coming out of your mouth so you fail.
@theowne
it’s called pre-ordering. you might of seen the advertisements only, well, everywhere.
I’ve been wondering if you got whispering helm, then stacked the ancients 15 or 20 times, what level and what items would you need to farm them all in one go. The big ancients have 2000 hp and the small ones 1000. That means you get healed 250 to 500 health per kill, but your taking huge damage.
I think this may be only possible with maliken when he ults and has life essence on. He wont take damage for the first 4 or 5 seconds because of his armor, he will be healing more than 40 hp per second, and his sword will heal him for at least 300 hp.
please tell me which of the following heroes can do this.
Puppet Master
Corrupted Disciple
Maliken
Blood Hunter
Chronos
Thank you
hey fcking last never awey for fcking blood …
i need for that linkin
Bloodseeker > Blood Hunter.
theowne please give it a rest. Maybe you could admit you were wrong about blood hunter being able to attack. Instead you go off calling HoN a piss-off because they changed something from DoTA that you didn’t know about in HoN. Maybe HoN should or shouldn’t have included that ability, but please don’t be so agressive about it. Noone calls you a piss-off when your wrong, please don’t do it to others.
I realy like him

I get these items:
1.Ironshield – better farm anti harassment
2.Ghost Marchers – more dmg and movement
3.Fireburn – more movement and attackspeed
4.Shrunkenhead
5.Iceburn < Firebrand
5.Wingbow
With this its easy to pubstomp alot.
But if there are lot of stunners i get Shrunkenhead before Fireburn.
This is one of my new favorites, more awesome looking than in DotA.
I always go mid and rush mock with this hero, its just to good if u know how to use the silence (I keep it at lvl 1 until after lvl 16)
The best chasing hero hands down.
@ Locke: are you serious look at this hero’s abilities. Max ms with steamboots when your within around half the map length of them below 40% hp, best lifesteal passive in the game (40% O_o), which can stack with other forms of lifesteal, +80% base damage ability!?!, and a true damage ult that either stops the enemy you’re chasing or deals 2500 damage to heroes with 400 movement speed. I mean truthfully he’s not as good as he sounds, cause he’s easy to kill and he can only focus on one hero at a time, but still he’s a very very decent hero. He has many advantages over other agil carries, because he has very decent damage with +80%, super high lifesteal, and ridiculous farming capabilities, along with one of the best ults in the game. When I play him I win most games, cause of his high regen. His problem is he’s a very selfish hero, trying to get as many kills as possible while supporting the team very little. However, he’s not bad and very fun to play.
Bloodhunter is the best chasing hero ever
and once hes got blood sense maxed uber chaser
Nice to play though
@bob.
“40% hp, best lifesteal passive in the game”
feast isnt lifesteal.
“The Blood Hunter feasts on the flesh of every kill he makes,
healing him based on the victim’s maximum Health.”
he needs to kill first before getting any life. not the usual lifesteal. good luck on last hitting heroes.
what i hate about this hero is the MS buff disappears the instant the enemy hero dies. Can no longer dive and kill the dying hero and run for safety.
lexaeterna- i guess it’s not physical damage dealt lifesteal, but to me it’s a type of lifesteal. If you want to be abstract about it, he gets health based on 40% of the total damage dealt (magic, physical, true, whatever) to the hero he kills. I’m not being realistic considering healing and stuff, but to me it’s way better than normal lifesteal because it gives life based on the entire hp of the enemy, which means you don’t have to prioritize physical attacks to get the bonus, his ult’s, silence’s magic and true damage in essence create a deposit box that will give you a huge package of health on a kill.
If you have an equally number of kills as everyone else on the team, you will theoretically get a health bonus of 40% (if your hp is equal to the other heroes, but the bonus is usually greater cause he’s a carry) for every fifth kill your team makes in combat. Considering you should deal 1/5 the damage of your team, you basically get a 40% lifesteal on most damage dealt, not all because of healing and because damage doesn’t always go towards killing someone. You get 5×40=200% lifesteal on enemies you kill, 0% lifesteal on those you don’t. 4×0%+1×200%=200% lifesteal per 5 kills. 200%/5=40% lifesteal per kill.
Obviously you are completely right that it is not at all similar to normal lifesteal. Considering that maybe half of damage dealt goes toward killing someone, it’s possibly around 20% lifesteal on all types of damage dealt, which only heals you every once in a while in massive bursts.
You don’t need “good luck on last hitting heroes” to utilize this lifesteal. It’s a very different kind of lifesteal, but it is lifesteal. It depends on the situation, but it’s probably not always the best lifesteal psddive in the game, I was a little careless saying that. My math is most definitely completely wrong, but you get my point I hope. I’m not trying to contradict you, just saying I think it is a sort of lifesteal.
btw I agree with you that the ms buff is annoying cause it doesn’t help you escape. It would be awesome if the buff gave you a boost afterwards, maybe if it lasted like 5-10 seconds after the hero is no longer between 0% and 40% health, or decreased over 10-20 seconds back to normal movement speed.
sorry this got way too long.
Why is every1 forgetting the 2nd best item for this guy. Its kind of sad. ITS logger’s hatchet. Helps blood hunter farm up his mock of brilliance. Its also a great item because when he last hits more he can feast wayyy more on creeps.
tryss everyone gets logger’s hatchet on blood hunter. It is a mandatory item except maybe if you last hit like a god. Look on recommended items- loggers hatchet. Look on guides- loggers hatchet. The reason it isn’t mentioned is cause it’s such an obvious pick that nearly all players get it for him. The first item you get should be logger’s hatchet. People are talking about specialty, later game items here. Logger’s hatchet is just what you get, period. There’s no need to mention it, if everyone gets it anyways. Notice that logger’s hatchet isn’t on the zephyr forums either.
Needs lots of buffs. Increase Blood sense radius, don’t let illusions trigger it, allow him to attack blood sense targets, buff agi gain to 3.0, buff initial ult dmg to 200/300/400.
Even then, he’d see no competitive play and be meh in pubs.
Also, his attack animation sucks.
this is why HoN sucks for nowww…it is waayyyyyyy too imbalanced, and revisions are not thoroughly thought out. DotA is WAY more ballanced than this game. in dota. EVERY hero… can b imba if ur pro, in HoN its either scout, madman, or w.e else there is…. and to top it off… dota has INVOKER……… the pro-est hero ever!!!u need dam skiills to play that shit..
Fukin Blood Hunter is so gay with the right Build i ended a game 38-0-17 bcos I was too powerful i just approach a poor nh ult silence codex…deadd
very agility
