Hellbringer
During the war against the Beasts, many humans became
experts in summoning daemons to fight alongside the Legion.
Some became addicted to this unholy act, and even when
the Hellbourne turned against their masters, continued to
invoke the dark rituals. One such warlock is known only as
Hellbringer, now a captain in the Hellbourne army and perhaps
the most despised man on Newerth.

A remake of Warlock?
This is sorta new but ult is Warlock
Life Void is a pretty good, original concept.
I like the steady up-tick on death boil, but I think it needs to be considered how low 360 damage is for a DoT spell without any additional effects like slow or enhanced damage during duration.
It might be a good idea to mention the duration of Unholy Shackles.
Duration of Unholy Shackles added, thanks Jimmy.
what are the stats for Malphas? does it have immolation for example?
I really like the new warlock, but i find that his character design is real ugly. I lost all respect for the char lol. And his voiceovers are a bit lame
</3
I found Malphas kind of sucks. I remember with warlocks chaos things 2 of them would own just about any tower. 2 malphas couldn’t even take out one tower…
Hi,
Last Game i had this hero and tested lifevoid with that dagon item… wtfpwnd arachna and behemoth… niiiice heal
and i think lifevoid is an aoe effect. But im not sure about about it..maybe the aoe came with 0.1.46
i will take a look in the changelogs
peace
amazing solo. the enemy can harass all he wants and u just cast life void and death boil and watch them run away regenerating ur hp. its easy to farm up refresher orb with this guy because of his epic lanestaying capabilities, the aoe stun on malphas is so huge, two of them completely change the outcome of a clash. dagon is another terrific item for this guy. harkons blade however is game over. u cast lifevoid then start smacking away with harkons blade and u will be astonished just how much dmg and lifesteal u get. no hero stands a chance.
Soloing mid and by level 6 you can solo mid tower so easily and score a fast kill. If the game lasts long enough you can have the Refresher stone for the 2 malphas to potentially end it then and there. Absolutely insane end game. On second thought, he is an all-game support hero.
I love this char but need a general idea for items. any comment with help is much appreciated.
well macbeast i have tested a lot of builds on hellbringer and i must say if you are looking for early game kills i suggest an arcane an a dagon and thn juz spam away. all u need is to life void, boil and dagon which is pretty much gg for almost any hero. i tried and found only devourer, legionnare, predator, a very lucky kronos, or a jereziah can actually stand a chance of living.
If u play him godd in begining you can easy kill 3-5 heros befire u rech lvl 6.
This hero makes an amazing endgame tank. I said it.
He has high strength growth, and smacking a black legion helm on him will make him unkillable in a team fight; toss a life void down on 2-3 heroes and keep it up. Since you’re a caster, people will target you, too, unlike a normal tank.
His ultimate is garbage, and getting a refresher stone is a waste of a good hero. Malphas and a creep wave will push a tower on their own, but that’s where the ult’s usefulness ends.
Better to get a sacrificial stone to keep up with this beast’s immense mana usage, since he uses all three of his amazing spells constantly!
I do agree partially with all your statements except for His ulti. Its not garbage. His ulti with his slow can easily kill most heroes. plus, he has a movement speed that is much higher then normal so he can actually finish off and chase heroes and if you can summon both of them, that’s a huge stun duration couples with 2 tanks with immolation. Even if hellbringer dies, his ulti can still help in team clashes and continue to tank.
especially with items like astrolabe, hellbringer can make worthwhile pushes, by himself
since im not very good in microing minions, and the fact that the HB needs his own spells to be cast not just attack – i wish the malphas would automatically target enemy heroes if in range instead of creeps =/
k, i dont explain now. just read:
astrolabe = bullshit.
dagon = fail.
arcane = fail.
basicly:
3 vanguard = win.
1 boots stat/port = win.
2 hellflower= win.
4 refresher = win.
5,6 behe / barbet in late = win
dont finish hellfower before you get vanguard.
make 1-2 Oblivion Staffs buy stout early.
early powersupply = win. sell it later.
go try =)
okay so let me get this straight you want to get 3 helm of the black legions 1 maybe 2 just no and if you get 3 …pull the power cord out of the back of your computer and kill yourself because your unfit for living hellflower Yes refresher yes
i think the numbers were the order to get the items in, then he clarified to get 1-2 obliv staves before the legion, and finish hellflower after which coroborates his order
death boil rocks!
you guys think hellbringer and malphas could take on kongor at a pretty early level?
Well i guess he could but malmphas doesnt that much damage and neither does hellbringer in low lvl, so i guess would be a lame and long fight.
why does death boil rock? it does 340 damage, that’s like one of soulstealer’s three nukes, and it does it over a long period of time. It’s decent but definitely not great.
deathboil rocks becouse boil + void heals you very much, since boil does magic damage and lifevoid lowers the enemies magic damage

first time i played him today, 6 0 18 score
170 heal isn’t very much. That is assuming the target has zero magic armor. *Which is really never the case*. The best use of lifevoid would be to get a codex and use it after casting void for a massive amount of life back instantly, not over time.
Compare deathboil to other spells with similar mana cost and cooldowns. It isnt that impressive.
All the “Boil sucks”-comments might as well be deleted now, as it is now AOE. It rocks.
Yeah, death boil is just crazy good. Its not uber crazy, but its such a good spell now. He can easily farm now and do alot of damage in ganks with his aoe damage spells
Not to be picky but Death Boil is not an AOE spell its a chain spell.Difference is that if i cast it and an invis night hound stands near my target he won’t get hit by it since it doesn’t hit an Area(AOE).So it only hits visible targets
Use the heal on creep waves during the laning phase. +million hp. That is all.
God he’s probably going to get nerfed…if/when he does i will be sad. Such a fun hero.
thanks for correcting me noskillznils, Stromming, and theowne. I didn’t consider death boil with the heal and minus magic armor, as well as the bounce. It really helps him deal damage early-mid game. I don’t think this guy should be nerfed, he’s good as he is but he’s not op at all.
