Night Hound
Scurrilous rumors of unnatural parentage have haunted this proud, leonine warrior his entire life.
He long served in the Beast Horde as a shadowy scout and assassin before taking on a comparable role in the new Legion. Wherever he came from, Night Hound is a welcome ally and a deadly foe.

I like this hero!
Ugh, I cry when i play a game and one of my teammates grabs nighthound within 5 seconds. Hes not a terrible hero in the right hands, but when he is quick picked it is a sure sign that he is in the wrong hands.
smoke bomb + bounce + backstab + frostwolf skull is a great combo.
FYI. this link needs to be fixed from the night hound picture
skadi is good. try mock of brilliance or for a faster game go straight hack n slash skull Abyssal Skull KS
Link from heroes page still broken.
Some people are good with nighthound. Some people would rather go with scout, but its sure that night hound is a great hero if you know how to use him.
Never get mock of brilliance for him, it will correctly damage heroes, but they will know you are there
hmmm…
pounce have different cooldown deppending on the hero level…
Steamboots + Geometer’s Bane + Wingbow + Savage mace …. Probably be GG but if you can farm more go with a lifesteal maybe
Hound and geo owns.
Triple backstab and you got like 500dps at lvl16
I recently found out that the backstab damage is reduced to 33%.
Of course its reduced. It would be super gay otherwise.
Anyone ever try lvl 4 riftshards for first item? This is what i do riftshards->steamboots->frostburn->wingbow
That’s a stupid idea. Why in the world would you ever get riftshards with him as a first item? I don’t even hafta say anything and i’m pretty sure anyone who’s experienced in playing nighthound knows how stupid you are with that as a first item.
riftshards 4 night hound=NOOB
This is why the HoN community sucks. He was just making a suggestion. Not everyone is experienced. Maybe instead of having a go at him suggest what can be used instead.
I would recommend boots first, elder parasite for farming.
Pop elder-throw smoke-hit hit hit-when they get out of smoke pounce.. dead..
Frostburn if you are having trouble finishing heroes. Savage mace would be a better pick, or wingbow if you are loaded.
I’m sorry but im starting to get sick of this game already because of a couple of hero’s. Scout, Nighthound, swiftblade, and zypher. These heros are OP as hell, especially scout. He has 2 nuke abilities, a silence and stealth. Every game that involves this hero is a win if he is on our team and a lose if we are against. Scout needs to lose something. The nuke shot from 2 miles away, the silence or infinite stealth. There is a problem when you have heros that need little or NO defensive armor. Take nighthound for example, he needs no defensive armor at all. A decent nighthound will rape your team 95% of the time unless u have a pro pestilence. Lame. Nerf these hero’s or make things like eye bind and cheaper.
What the heck fathell? None of those heroes is even close to OP. Scout and NH are indeed annoying but really easy to counter, and what the hell? Zephyr? Thats just ridicolous. How can anyone call those heroes overpowered when there are few really overpowered easymode heroes (Deadwood, Forsaken Archer).
For night hound you need steamboots, nullfireblade, elder parasite, then wingbow and tada your superhero
i agree zephyr isnt even close to overpowered until endgame, but scout and nh are really anoying and a bit overpowered
Pounce’s cooldown should be, 30/20/10/5 seconds, not 10
fathell = noob.
