SwiftBlade
The unique armor worn by this mysterious warrior
is said to have been uncovered in the ruins of
an Ancient city. Whether the armor imbues the famed
speed and pinpoint accuracy possessed by the warrior
called Swiftblade, or whether he would be equally
mighty without it, none can say.

hrhr, this looks awesome <3
This is Yurnero – Juggernaut
Does his counter attack work on creeps atm?? Cause I haven’t noticed it doing so. I had an entire wave on me expecting them to all get fucked over by my insane amount of counter attacks I was going to launch at them but none ever came.
i think swift slashes should depend on his atk…like juggernaut…
counter atk just counter melee enemy hero..read the discription
i would have to agree with shiba on that one swift slashes should base its damage from his hero damage not set it with values.
Omfg , this looks awesome !!!!!
or maybe a special item would increase the damage of his ultimate. just like the aghanim’s scepter for some of the int based heroes.
yeah but if you bf the creep wave, then pop your ulti, thats 3-8 hits @ 150-250, so thats
3 hits: 450-750 dmg
5 hits: 750-1250 dmg
8 hits: 1200-2000 dmg
his ulti is fucking raunchy as long as you get someone completely alone. AWESOME ulti for ganking
his ultimate is only good early-mid game. Late game it’s useless if your opponents know what they are doing.
With armor (50% dmg reduction is easily obtainable) that 1200-2000 becomes a laughable 600-1000. And that’s assuming of course, u get all 8 hits on the same guy. Any melee hero, and most casters will be able to survive 1000 dmg.
I like blade frenzy more. Amazing ability even at lvl 1. 300 magic dmg. Share a lane with another hero that has slow, cast on a target hero, then blade frenzy. Almost guaranteed kill. (i was sharing a lane with demented shaman. his slow + my blade frenzy…pretty much killed a hero everytime the CD was up)
it;s also amazing if you have a hero say…Tempest…his ultimate + your blade frenzy pretty much destroys 2 or 3 heroes together.
so is counter attack an extra strike (i.e. hero’s own attack) or damage return?
so is counter attack an extra strike (i.e. hero’s own attack) or damage return?
btw, i figured i’d educate you. in dota, juggernaut has the exact same ulti (150 to 250 damage per slash), and the “dependent on hero’s attack” you’re talking about are -actual attacks- and comes -between- each slash, depending on his increased attack speed. that means that at a high enough attack speed, you get 8 extra attacks at level 3 for a total of 16 (or 11 extra with scepter – 22 strikes while invulnerable).
i have no idea whether this is the case for swiftblade, could anyone enlighten us?
His Crit chance to hit also goes into effect with his Ultimate. I’ve taken down a hero late game with ease when all 8 hits hit the hero. Late game I always have Wingbow equipped with this guy, and so the DMG is increased even more.
They should have kept him as the regular juggernaut. His ult is just like luna’s except hes invulnerable. the whole point of crit was to buff his ult but now his ult is bottlenecked by a damage cap. I think he should at least be allowed to crit during his ult to make him a bit more useful late game. The description of “counter” is a bit vague. What exactly does it do? Is it a 35% blademail, 35% targeted dispersion (old mercurial), or 35% axe’s helix w/ damage depending on SB’s attack damage. And does it proc during his spin? please clarify. Depending on the mechanics i think the percentages should be nerfed to 5/10/15/20% and change it from melee only to all ranged and melee in a 300 distance like what they did to Tiny’s craggy exterior.
reply to blumousey: No it only works against meele heroes
@Harimau
i don’t believe swift work that way. If it does, it’s broken. All my time playing swift, i have never been able to take a buy with 2k hp down with a single ult. Which i should easily be able to do with 16 hits >.<
@PandaCow
are you sure his ult can crit? They might have changed it, but i remmeber his ult did not grant life leech (i could do the ult at like, 30 hp and even with life leech i would finish it at 30 hp). This makes me think that it is not affected by crit either.
although if you can get wingbow on this hero, forget the ult, just run in and whack things. game should be over by then anyways.
Swiftblade’s ulti is the same ulti of Juggernaut in DOTA.
high atk Speed, high chance doin “normal” damage between 1-2 slash/es
P.S. you only need to max the level of the WAY OF THE SWORD skill to have an high chance of converting the “normal” damage to critical damage when ulti.
Man dis is my fave hero even in DOTA, i remembering crying when i did 7 Beyond in just 1 day on 4 games, hahaha…
Dear Friends, im new to this hero. What are the best item in early….mid….late stage. Thanks.
idont really know but 2 good ones are whispering helm and wingbow.
i think counterattack is better than healing ward but you should build this hero as a semitank
To the post above about his counterattack, I saw in a game when swift was fighting a ranged hero that he shot a small fast shuriken at him. I still can’t tell what the damage does per shuriken. Anyone know?
the Ultimate is attacking ramdom objekts, and you should only use it in 1on1 or 1on2 with heros. the blade frenzly is good until lvl 13-14 then its only made for killing creeps. ( sry for my eng.)
ok about his ult- i was playing today, i had 1980 health and 15 armor. Swiftblade level 3 ulted me, with completely full health, and i was killed in 8 slashes. Tell me thats not imba. I don’t know how he did it, but he did about, if not more than, 2000 damage to me as i ran away from him in the forest. He did not have staff of the master. A lot better than pyros ult which deals 850 magic damage, or reduced to heroes with a natural +5 magic armor. 0_o
he probably got really lucky with critical hits. also its not op at all because if your target is near even one creep the damage is negated very much. and in team fights where there are 5 heroes and usually a lot of creeps, the damage is very little per hero.
hm i guess its a very situational ult, kinda like forsaken. That’s true. Still i think it should attack neutrals or something so if your in the forest and he ults your not dead meat.
Hi Beastslayer36 .. heres the answer:
His Counterattack does normal autoattack dmg of swiftblade.
Once i fought vs panda he ultied me and i killed him with coutnerattack xD pretty nice
bad guide no explanation of what kind of damage he makes with his skills. First skill does magical damage and his ulti does physical.
Ulti is busted by staff but also whit attack speed so hi can do 20 hits with ulti if he have staff and right attack speed
With staff hi does 10 hits but with right attack speed hi does for 1 ulti hit 1 normal and normal hit does same thing as hi do with normal attack: splash , chain lightning, critical, broken armor ect. So his ulti is insane if used right (and I heat when people speak like his ulti is no use late game I destroyed almost whole team with his ulti at max so stfup)
and please add info like what kind of damage makes skills and other details
swiftblades ultimate sucks now its useless to increase his damage:P
excellent lane partner with demented shaman, hag, slither and similar
Great with hellbringer. Hellbringer can slow and void to increase the dmg of swift’s first skill. The problem with swift/electrician, of course, is if the lane you are in has two stuns.
Guys, I just got a couple of invites from HoN and all of my friends are already playing. What I am saying is that I have invites to give!! But give me your e-mail
does swiftslashes do extra slashes when aspd gets really high? is this the same as the old omnislash. if its not then this one’s weaker
yes it does!!! you also do normal strikes in between each slashes,, so with that said,, if you have high aspd you hit more strikes… i know it said 8 strikes but those are 8 sure strikes,, and extra strikes based on your aspd…
yurnero is very pro =)
el unico heroes que le hace peso al magina
hey if u have a spare invite can u send it to me? xterminator92@gmail.com. i want to try this game before it release. it looks like fun.
and btw. i think giving swift counterattack is WAAY OP lategame. it increases his damage output by 30% when attacked and the counter-attacks damage include items that he has. he was easier to kill in dota when he pops the ward and you one-shot it and go back to killing him
i took down 2 heroes dreesed enough i gues 2 agi with lvl 3 ulti late game : D (lucky ass)
what sets swift appart from most other agi carries is that their frenzy and ult make them an asset already in early-mid game (they are still strong in lategame with NORMAL attack if built right) whereas chronos bane etc are really comperatively weak and more of a dead weight on a team unitl lategame (and even then they come in play IF they got farmed).
kk this guy i think is mostly jug but theres a variation of axe’s helix added in there.. and i havnt played this hero, but i hope that his ulti provides invulnerability jus like juggernaut..during his ulti that way u can ulti sum1 in fountain and wont get damaged
Since the recent update to 0.3.0, swiftblade can get rid of incoming spells, for e.g, when puppet master holds him with his first spell, swift can just spin out of it
you can easily counter swiftblade 1st skill if you use pred
you use stone hide, attack him and lets see who will run first
Counter attack’s damage is essentially
(Enemy AS) X (Your Damage) X (.3)
Swiftblade is probably the best overall carrie in the game (IMO), because he has huge damage late game and amazing hero synergy early game. Lane him with elec/polly/deadwood etc. and getting fat will be no problem.
blade frenzy- amazing attack throughout the game and pretty much owns anything with a slow/ stun. say electrician, pollywog, demented shaman, puppet master, glacius.
counter- counters melee and ranged heroes. about 1 out of 3 opponent hits, swiftblade hits back at them with his own base attack damage.
way of the sword- simple enough crit chance
every 1 out of 3 times.
swift slashes- imo one of the best early game and maybe mid game ults also very good kill-stealing move if you want to do that. (don’t get staff of the master cause it’s sort of a waste of money. you want base attack damage as well as attack speed)
try to get a lot of farm early game because that’s when swiftblade owns. lots of agility carries can rape swiftblade late game so try and end the game as fast as you can.
item build for our little ninja?…
