Tempest
Spirits born of the elements, Tempests howl
across the land raining fire and ice alike, indeed
even calling great meteors from the heavens.
Summoned of old by the Beast Horde, these
ethereal beings now are summoners themselves,
bringing elementals and even shadows of themselves
onto the battlefield. Even their allies view these
strange beings with awe bordering on fear.

Spells
The Tempest blasts a target enemy with
icy winds, chilling it every two seconds.
Being chilled causes the target to take
damage and be stunned briefly.

Level 2 : Deals 40 magic damage, stuns for 1 seconds, 2 impact

The Tempest sacrifices a target unit
and extracts from it the very elements
that composed its being. With these
elements, the tempest creates three
Elementals under his control.

Elemental effects
Kills target giving gold and spawns 3 elementals in its place
After each Elemental has attacked 6 times it spawns a duplicate of itself
Attuned to all things natural and cosmic,
the Tempest calls down a meteor that ignites
a target area, causing units within to take
damage over time.

Level 2 : Damages targets in radius, 4% maximum health per second for 7 seconds
Level 3 : Damages targets in radius, 5% maximum health per second for 7 seconds
Level 4 : Damages targets in radius, 6% maximum health per second for 7 seconds
Mana cost 95/110/125/140

Ultimate
The Tempest uses his power over the
elements to create an extremely low
pressure system at target location,
causing fierce winds to drag all enemy

check your spacing, just fyi
Thank you for noticing the spacing issues Kamiyo, i think its been fixed now.
This is a mix between Invoker and Enigma.
It’s actually just purely an enigma mirror. His meteor isn’t anything like invoker’s chaos meteor if that’s what you were thinking. It is just midnight pulse but very pretty and still incredibly potent in-game.
Elemental Void- “damges(sic)” fyi
Thanks fallen, its corrected now.
glacial blast is wrong Oo it says 1-2-2-3 times and its acutally 1-2-3-4 times
Spacing and double colons on Elemental Void. Double spacing on Glacial Blasts as well. Yes this is Enigma
this isnt a mix. this is pure enigma
So, because the fact that one of his move animations is a meteor, it’s automatically invoker? hmm FAIL!
I actually like his ult, it sucks everyone into the middle eventally
just enigma with a built in pal
Has anyone seen many Tempest picks in-game? They seem rather rare compared to other popular heroes.
——————————
1. Bottle –> Quick fuel for maximum lane dominance/stay + harrass/gank with disable/stunner
2. Marchers –> Upgrade to Post-Haste (gank/chase/setup)
3. Assassins-Shroud –> Invisibility/+20% Movement to INITIATE/escape/chase/swift-support , +bonus dmg is nice.
*Also you won’t have to buy Portal Key with Shrunken head for a total cost of: 6060g vs. 3610g(Assasins-Shroud)
——————————
Q:What if I get disabled? Must have Shrunken Head!
A: If a range unit can disable you from channelling your ult, cast it near them. If melee, cast it further away from you but within disabling range. The added bonus from your ult is nice but it’s main use is to AOE disable for enemy team WIPEOUT.
Meteor –> ULT then Glacial blast remaining survivor’s.
A: If Jereziah is in ur group….GG
4. Whatever your choice. Game usually doesn’t last too long after obtaining #3 and then ~3k gold for me.
Tempest/Enigma forever! – swiftdeathh
When tempest spawns his minions, the added DPS makes him one of the better damage-dealers in the game.
(imagine 6 doing 50 damage, that is 300 damage each attack)
He also has two excellent disables.
So as a hero with great DPS and great disables, what does he lack?
Health, of course. I always tank my tempest. I play him exclusively with a 1.5/1 K/D
Scarab Mask
5 Mana pots (Jungling. Creep in the woods you should level faster than solos and be able to gank on both lanes)
Perserverence
Basilius (Basil + pers = mana. Try not to go to well. Anytime you hit low HP, hit the jungle. Always making money and XP, always ready to gank)
Boots
Finish Bloodstone (with over 5 charges, you become a real tank)
Travels (escapability and more efficient farming)
Shivas (excellent to hit a shiva after your whirwind to slow wounded enemies and KS of course)
Refresher (late game item because of massive mana cost. With refresher you can stun, spawn, meteor, whirwind, shiva, stun, spawn, meteor, whirlwind, shiva. It’s a game-ender.)
For early game ganking: Spawn your 6 mininos farming in the jungle… wait for the enemy to pass the woods, and bring them up behind. Get guy in lane to stun and it kills 80% of heroes.
Ultimate is way too powerful. One good ultimate launched in a team fight pretty much ends it. Restoration Stone + Ultimate in a team fight.. gg.
I don’t think it’s overpowered.
Like any channeling spell it can be interrupted, which forces the tempest user to wait until he can entrap all stunners on the field.
It also has a massive cooldown (3 minutes)
against an enemy that keeps their spacing, silenced, or targets the enigma, the whirlwind is little defense.
if you blink in, or even at a range, you can easily trap all their heroes, and then some other hero with a good aoe ultimate can pwn them.
its not amazingly OPed but still.
do the elementals last forever? or is it 35 seconds like in dota?
and how many times can they spawn duplicates? is it only once, or more?
Seems like the ‘Eidolon’ has picked out Warcraft Firelord’s lava spawn’s ability.
I think the radius for the ultimate is a little wide.
Perhaps the animation could more accurately reflect the actual radius of the ultimate in game?
Theres the circle of the hole, but then the actual spell is effective for about 100 range outside that, its annoying and fixable!
1. Bottle = jungle at start get alot of gold
2. Armored boots = Increase Banshee’s Hp when farming
3. Shroud = Sneak in get the other team with your ult.
4. Restoration Stone = double ult = no one lives
5. gg
Your build is inefficient.
1. If you are good with runes, you take bottle. If you don’t plan on getting runes, then go with ring of the teacher, and 2 mana potions. This guy with haste is extremely deadly at the hands of a pro and any other rune in general but if your a noob with runes, get the ring and 2 potions.
2. Armored Boots is bad, you rely on mana and not armor plus your elementals don’t need the boost in armor to jungle. If you plan on being support, go ahead but really good players who know how to carry with temp will get post haste if they have been farming well which allows tempest to be anywhere and everywhere to gank and basically chase any hero he wants. It makes him nearly unkillable since he runs so damn fast and extremely deadly. Basically think tinker from dota.
3. Shroud is stupid and a waste of money, which is why the guy above me is a noob. Only noobs get this over portal key. Why would tempest ever need more damage? He’s not a dps hero and portal key is cheaper and better in everyway. You play on efficiency, don’t waste gold on items you don’t need. Portal Key allows him to get in and get out much quicker then shroud and he can portal key in, glacial blast if possible, meteor and then ulti. If you have post haste, then tempest can easily chase and kill the hero or just run away if their still alive.
4. Hmm, yeah, i guess this is the only one i’m not complaining about. But generally, if you’ve been farming and ganking, its already gg by then time you get this but its gg by then when you have this.
theowne +1.
bottle could work on tempest but i would definitely opt for ring plus mana pots. i went through a phase of not completing ring and instead leaving the scarab as just that and buying 5 mana pots instead.
has anyone tried doing it the other way, and buying ring of protection and pots, and then when you go for first gank (maybe at level 4 with level two glacial blasts) completing the ring?
would like to hear opinions/experience on this.
Finishing the Ring of the Teacher is inefficient. Once your Int goes to 36 you are earning the same amount in mana regen with a scarab as you would with a Ring of the Teacher. So your actually gaining less mana the higher your int goes.
If you’ve grabbed it for the armor it can make sense, but you shouldn’t need it.
brn4meplz: but ring of the teacher also gives armor for the elementals (and you), making jungling a tad easier, and can be upgraded to nome’s wisdom if needed.
The reason for getting the shroud is because since void is a cast u can use the shroud after u ulti’d there by preventing u from getting targeted or u can sneak in to ulti by using the shroud on your way in, instead of blinking in blindly and getting but raped. This way you can actually cloak in see where your enemies are at and strategically place you ult. Other wise u blink into fog of war and get your sh** pushed in by 4 enemies. Post haste boots i can see your point there but the boots provide a nice buff to everything during team attacks. IMO the ring of teacher i haven’t tried yet with the mana pots but i will
Jeez. Temp is easy. Firstly get teacher and pots. Than farm. Farm a little bit more. Gank on 4, 6, and 7 lvls. Get hastes. Get portal. Get restoration. If you really want to, make Nome. And thats all. Blink in, cast ult. Kill 5 and destroy barracks. GG.
I love how some spell icons barely changed at all, and just got recolored
