Electrician guide by Liljdog
He’s pretty awesome.. if you know how to play it right, he can be used best as a ganker or a tank.
Skillz
Static Grip
The Electrician binds a target in a static grip,
preventing them from casting spells, moving,
attacking, or using items for a short time.
The Electrician is dragged slowly toward the target.
Channeling time 2.5/3.25/4/4.75 seconds
30/40/50/60 magic damage per second
100/110/120/130 Mana Cost
This move is the showstopper, it’ll stop anybody when you use it on them, and hey, it’ll even pull you to them. This is usually best when you are trying to gank someone or to stop a person in their tracks from trying to run away. Even at a low level, it is works pretty well against opposing heroes. You don’t want to level this very high early on, since it is basically the same effect but longer and more damage, but it is not worth it to be the first level 4 skill to be in.
Electric Shield
The electrician uses electricity to create a shield
around himself. The shield will negate a portion
of incoming damage at the cost of Electrician’s Mana.
50% damage reduction for 2/1.66/125/0.75 mana per point of damage
Mana Cost : 20 (all levels)
This is why the electrician can be one of the best tanks out here in the game, something that has a mana shield, and is also strength. You want to level this up the highest since well.. if you want to live for a long time, you better level this up the highest. Put a lot of mana regen on this guy, and you’ll basically be set for a long time, but we’ll get to that later on.
Energy Absorption
The Electrician discharges energy around him.
Nearby enemies are damaged and have their Mana
drained. For each enemy with Mana drained,
the Electrician absorbs some Mana, gets a boost
to his Magic Armor and a boost to Physical Armor.
75/100/125/175 Magic damage in 300 radius, draining 3%/6%/9%/12% max mana of enemies. If first target creep adds 3 charges. If first target hero adds 5.
Energy Absorption effects
+0.2/0.4/0.6/0.8 Armor per charge
+0.4/0.8/1.2/1.6 Magic armor per charge
Replensishes 15/20/25/30 mana per charge
This ability further proves why the electrician is the perfect tank, an ability that adds armor, magic, replenishes mana (for electric shield), and even does damage!
This is perfectly used when using titans grip since well the hero that you are stunning on (and possibly other heroes/creeps around him/her) will attack u, so when you use this ability, they usually will attack back which makes it perfect when using this ability, it’ll damage them AND will give you armor for the next upcomming attack of the enemy! genius!!!!!
Cleansing Shock (Ultimate)
Electrician shocks a target unit, removing
debuffs and increasing movement speed
if the target is an ally, or removing buffs
and decreasing movement speed if target is an enemy.
+30%/+40%/+50% Movement speed if ally, -40%/-60%/-80% Movement speed if enemy.
Mana Cost : 50
Cooldown 16/14/12 seconds
You know what, someone who should be tanking should be able to remove harmful buffs from them if they need to be able to keep taking damage, which even FURTHER PROVES that electrician is the perfect tank xD. For example, if bloodhunter uses Hemorrhage on you, you can easily debuff it using cleansing shock, and hey, it even speeds up your speed too!!, very useful. This ability even helps at ganking since it’ll slow the hero you are chasing, or you can use it to increase movement speed in order to catch up to someone you aren’t even at range at.

Items
Now, the best way you should build this character is just full on regen. First, start out by getting Marchers, then you should work your way up to getting the Sacrificial Stone, then get Null Stone just for negating pesky spells that you won’t have to use your cleansing shock on(unless it’s a silence, then this item is very useful when a person silence spams you), after this point, you’re basically the ultimate tank by now, you have more regen than ever, and you will be able to take humongous amounts of damage before the enemy gets past your mana shield, so good luck, and use The Electrician well
.
Btw, if i see too many people using this character, i know a few ways i can counter him too, but that will be for another guide…
I just realized the same as you! The grip only gives you time so i have to maximize absortion and shield.
Your building item strategy is really good but I dont think I’ll be able to get them: It’s too much money, isn’t it?? Still, on what order would you farm them?
Thanks for the tips!
