Boots of Travel!
… will i ever understand ppl that make such USELESS remarks.. i mean u can find a post like this (items dota name + !) under most items and its kind of annoying. Dude, those of us that have played dota know it, and those that have dont care.
And just in anticipation: yes, this post is useless as well but i just had 2 express my aggravation ^^
*..that havent dont care XD
I agree with somebody.
lol
agreed XD
thx for support i guess XD
but, on the topic now. These are so expensive compared to other boots, dont give any additional stats, and are hard to farm for (2200 recipe that gives u nothing while farming for it). Because of all this, i always go for one of the other 2 or avoid upgrade alltogether.
So, which heroes(playing which roles) do you buy it for, with maybe a little explanation as to when, in combination of which tiems etc..
excluding the finishing game phase, where your team is dominating the game and the opponents just havent conceded for whatever stupid reason =)
thx in advance
well they give you a lot more movement speed than the other boots. also they allow you to tp anywhere on the map. tp scrolls cost like 185 and good players usually buy a ton of tp scrolls a game, so these boots save you a lot of money if you plan on tping around the map.
As of the last patch pyromancer is painfully slow. If I find myself up against a very fast opponent and know I’m going to be running a lot, I get these. Not only do they make me fast enough to attempt an escape if necessary (ex: shielded jere with steamboots) or tele out if escape is impossible.
Pyro is a good farmer though.
Also useful if your team is shorthanded (disconnect or w/e) or for 3v3, 2v2 and 1v1 on the original DOTA map.
these are terrific for int characters. i usually hang around in the team push, unload all my mana in the clash then either help rax or tp to defend a lane. they’re probably the best for pyro, who can pop out, nuke the pants off their carry and tp out b4 the teammates can show up for vengeance.

Actually you and many others are retarded. I did not play DoTa and many HoN players have. So when in game and I ask what item to get or something They will always refer to the name they learned first (dota name) and they often do not know the name of the shop or the item in Dota, so I waste time looking around for it. The comments with the dota equivalent name are perfectly useful and in fact should be listed in all the item descriptions to begin with imo.
Agreed SpoR.
choose nymph and farm these up asap. she can easily farm this 10 minutes in. while the other team is hoplessly chasing your tp’ing ass down to try and prevent the push, your team can push and gank easily. before you know it, you’ll have 4k+ gold and can either go shrunken or shroud for a safe getaway. on top of your ganking capabilities with level 3 ulti, you can become unstoppable late game, even as a squishy int. these also great on treant who’s definitely meant for support and pushing. other than invising by a tree and then popping his ult in a counter clash, he can control two lanes as well as use creeps to tp to their forest if he catches a jungler. also aforementioned are nuking heroes or just generally slow moving heroes, like pyro.

ok so imo this is the question to ask yourself
Do you use Homecoming stones alot during the game? if you answered yes then you probably should invest in these if not then go for one of the other 2 ( extra movment speed also gives the abiltiy to catch your oppenents keep this in mind))
The TP abillity is very good, especially if most of your team has post haste or carry homecoming stones, it’ll allow you to quickly stop/start a push, it’s especially usefull i fyou’re playing with the kind of tards that’ll chase an enemy hero (often one they should know they cannot catch) halfway around the map while your base is beeing pushed.
They’re under-valued cause a lot of people care too much about kills compared to tower kills, maybe cause theres no stats for tower kills, except for WINS which a lot of people don’t understand comes from pushing and not just killing.
You can easily beat a team of stronger heroes if your team knows how to work coordinated and most of the other team all think they’re fucking rambo.
